Questions
Straight answers
Will callers know they're talking to an AI?
It introduces itself as your business's virtual assistant, and it will say it's an AI if asked. I recommend being upfront; callers mostly care that someone answered and got them booked.
What happens when it can't answer a question?
It only uses information you've approved. When something is outside that, it says so, takes the caller's details and what they need, and you get the message straight away. It won't make up prices or promises.
Can it transfer calls to me?
Not as a live transfer today. Instead it collects the details and texts you an alert immediately for anything urgent, so you can call back within minutes with the full context.
Do I need a new phone number?
No. Keep your number and set your phone to forward calls when you're busy, after hours, or all the time. A new local number is also available if you want one.
Are calls recorded?
Call notes and summaries are saved. Recording rules differ by state and province (some require everyone on the call to consent), so if recording is on, the greeting tells callers.
Is it HIPAA compliant?
I don't claim HIPAA compliance. For dental and medical offices I set it up to book appointments and take messages without asking for medical details. If your practice needs a BAA, let's talk before you buy.
Who are you, and where are you based?
I'm Irfan Ullah Khan, a full-stack and AI engineer and co-founder of SpaceBrain, the platform your receptionist runs on. I'm based in Islamabad, Pakistan, and I schedule calls in your time zone. You deal with me directly, not an account manager.
Is there a contract?
No. The care plan is month to month and you can cancel any time. You pay the setup fee only after you've heard the test calls and approved them.
